"Les Hamaques" HOTEL IN COSTA BRAVA, SPAIN

It all started with a beautiful shack that was in ruins in an idyllic agricultural village surrounded by nature and located three minutes from the sea. The little shack was transformed into a comfortable country home to enjoy during the holidays. BEAUTIFUL RESTORED TRULLI IN PUGLIA, ITALY

A traditional dry stone hut with a conical roof. This style of construction is specific to the Itria Valley, in the Murge area of the Italian region of Puglia. Trulli (plural) were generally constructed as temporary field shelters and storehouses or as permanent dwellings by small proprietors or agricultural laborers. This house is beautifully restored by Azzurra Garzone Architects . Only traditional materials such as stone and lime have been used. Also the interior is in line with traditions.The walls are whitewashed in lime, and the flooring is made from chianche stone from the area. The furniture comes from a careful selection of local craftsmen. The bathrooms are coated with a mixture of cement and natural pigments, derived from the surrounding earth. via: style-files.com
